#Tvtropes nuclear throne series#
The name was changed due to worries of confusion between it and the Wasteland series by InXile. Nuclear Throne was originally created for Mojam 2 under the name Wasteland Kings. The sheer quantity of enemies and projectiles on some levels has resulted in slight comparisons to games in the bullet hell genre. The game is generally considered quite difficult characters have little health and enemies can inflict substantial damage. When a character levels up, an additional trait can be selected – one of four randomly selected options can be picked – to help along the journey to the titular Nuclear Throne.
Characters can be levelled up by picking up experience from fallen enemies or pick-ups scattered about levels. It features a roster of mutants with different traits and abilities, randomized levels and a wide assortment of weaponry. Nuclear Throne is a top-down 2D action game with a strong emphasis on shooting and positioning created by Vlambeer. Say "You have plenty of time to destroy the generators" is misleading, since the throne is designed to push you back, so unless you have high dps or melee it's an incredibly difficult fight.Overview Fish exploring World 2: The Sewers You should suggest to either carry melee, have high DPS weaponry or improve your dodging skills vs the throne. Without melee staying close the the throne is rather a task, since the bullet hell it can create naturally forces you back since back is where the easy places to avoid the shots are. You can do it with a screwdriver with ease, it just takes incredible time. You missed my point that saying "you can do it with x" if X is melee is a useless statenece since melee makes the throne fight a battle of patience. You erroneously attributed that thought to me most likely, you enjoy casting other people as fools because it makes you feel better about your own unremarkable mental capacity. I never implied that it was particularly impressive for someone to kill the Throne using melee. Not too good at using context to get the point, are you?Ĭontext: I was talking about the Throne's behavior about following the player down and having enough time to destroy the generators before it does so.
